Handwoven chest plate provides the natural structure for this array of Hmong embroidered textiles constructed from their very own baby hats. These hats were worn by the children to protect them from evil spirits. These enchanting fabrics are suspended from dyed shell spikes and decorated with Tuareg camel tassels.
